The owners of Starfire Golden Retrievers are Maria and Paul Franklin. We live in Hendersonville, Tennessee which is located about 30 minutes Northeast of Nashville. I do not work outside my home, but I stay busy with our dogs. My husband, Paul is a musician and a part time dog person. We often travel to dog shows together in our motorhome. We both love the dogs very much and work very hard to keep them in good health and proper show condition. Our dogs are a huge part of our family and we treat them as such.
Paul and I both try to live by the Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Therefore, we strive to treat everyone we meet fairly, honestly and with respect. This applies to our dealings in the dog show world as well.
I am very dedicated to the
golden retriever as a breed. It is my goal to breed happy healthy, sound
dogs (in mind and body) that adhere to the Golden Retriever Standard.
All of our breeding dogs have their clearances as required by the Golden
Retriever Club of America. Our puppies are all socialized in a home environment
so that they can become stable and happy members of any family and community.
We work diligently to assess the temperament of each dog we place so that
it will blend well with its new family.
